3. Operating Features

3.1 Luminox Light Technology (LLT)

Your Luminox watch features a self-powered illumination system using tiny micro gas light sources. This technology provides constant glow for up to 25 years, ensuring visibility in all light conditions without requiring external light exposure or battery power for illumination.

3.2 Unidirectional Rotating Bezel

The bezel rotates in one direction only (counter-clockwise) to prevent accidental extension of dive time. To use for timing:

  1. Align the zero marker on the bezel with the minute hand at the start of your timed event.
  2. Read the elapsed time on the bezel against the minute hand.

3.3 Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant to 200 meters (660 feet / 20 ATM). This rating makes it suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not for saturation diving. Always ensure the crown is fully screwed in before any water exposure.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For watches exposed to saltwater, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

4.2 Water Resistance Care

  • Always ensure the crown is fully screwed in before exposing the watch to water.
  • Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged in water.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes (e.g., hot shower immediately followed by cold water), as this can compromise seals.

4.3 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement requiring a CR2 type battery. Battery life varies depending on usage. When the battery needs replacement, it is highly recommended to have it replaced by an authorized Luminox service center to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

4.4 Storage

When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields, which can affect timekeeping accuracy.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running: If the watch stops, the battery may need replacement. Contact an authorized service center.
  • Date Not Changing: Ensure the time is set correctly, especially the 24-hour cycle. If the issue persists, consult an authorized service center.
  • Water Intrusion: If moisture appears inside the watch, immediately take it to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
