Figure 2: Rear view of DRC-4CGN2 Door Camera with wiring diagram.
This image shows the back panel of the DRC-4CGN2 outdoor camera. A white label in the center displays the model number, power requirements (12V, 3W max), and a detailed wiring diagram. The diagram illustrates connections for MONITOR (Red, Blue, Yellow, Black wires), CAMERA, ELECTRIC DOOR KEY, and POWER SOURCE. This visual aid is critical for correct installation.
Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the DRC-4CGN2 camera and the CDV-43K monitor for precise connections. The system requires a 4-wire connection between the monitor and the door camera, and another 4-wire connection if an interphone is used.
4.2 Mounting the Door Camera (DRC-4CGN2)
- Choose a suitable location near your entrance, ensuring it is protected from direct rain and harsh weather. The camera is not waterproof.
- Mount the camera at a height that allows for optimal viewing of visitors (typically 1.4 to 1.6 meters from the ground).
- Use the provided screws and wall plugs to securely fasten the camera unit to the wall.
- Connect the wiring from the camera to the indoor monitor according to the wiring diagram.
4.3 Mounting the Video Door Phone (CDV-43K)
- Select an indoor location, such as a hallway or living room, where the monitor is easily accessible.
- Mount the monitor unit to the wall using the provided mounting bracket and screws.
- Connect the wiring from the outdoor camera and power supply to the monitor unit.
- Ensure all connections are secure before applying power.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Receiving a Call
