5. Setup and Charging the Unit
5.1 Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the Yato YT-83081 unit. The unit typically takes about 3 hours to fully charge.
5.2 Charging Methods
- Using the Wall Charger: Connect the wall charger to a standard electrical outlet and then to the 14V INPUT port on the jump starter.
- Using the Car Charger: Connect the car charger to your vehicle's 12V accessory socket and then to the 14V INPUT port on the jump starter.

The LED indicators on the unit will show the charging status. All LEDs will illuminate when fully charged.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Jump Starting a Vehicle
Ensure the jump starter is fully charged before attempting to jump start a vehicle.
- Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories.
- Connect the red (positive) clamp of the jump starter cables to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Connect the black (negative) clamp of the jump starter cables to the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle's battery, or to a solid, unpainted metal part of the engine block away from the battery.
- Connect the jump starter cable plug to the 12V OUTPUT port on the Yato YT-83081 unit.
- Wait approximately 15-30 seconds to allow the jump starter to transfer power to the vehicle battery.
- Start the vehicle's engine.
- Once the vehicle starts, immediately disconnect the jump starter cable plug from the Yato unit.
- Then, disconnect the black (negative) clamp from the vehicle battery/chassis.
- Finally, disconnect the red (positive) clamp from the vehicle battery.
If the vehicle does not start after the first attempt, wait at least 1 minute before trying again. Do not attempt more than 3 consecutive jump starts without allowing the unit to cool down.
6.2 Using as a Power Bank (Charging Electronic Devices)
The Yato YT-83081 can charge various electronic devices via its USB outputs.
- Connect the multi-USB charging cable (or your device's USB cable) to one of the USB 5V OUTPUT ports on the jump starter.
- Connect the other end of the cable to your electronic device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, camera).
- The device will begin charging. The LED indicators on the jump starter will show the remaining battery level.
6.3 Using the LED Flashlight
The built-in LED flashlight can be used for illumination or as an SOS signal.
- To turn on/off: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
- To cycle modes: Once the light is on, short press the power button to switch between steady light, strobe, and SOS modes.
7. Maintenance and Storage
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.

8. Troubleshooting
- Unit not charging: Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the unit and the power source. Check if the power outlet is functional.
- Vehicle not starting: Verify that the jump starter is fully charged. Check that the clamps are securely connected to the correct battery terminals with proper polarity. Ensure the vehicle's battery is not completely dead or frozen.
- No power output from USB: Ensure the unit is sufficiently charged. Try a different USB cable or device to rule out cable/device issues.
- Unit gets hot during use: This is normal during jump starting due to high current flow. Allow the unit to cool down between uses. If excessive heat or smoke occurs, disconnect immediately.
