Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance and retain for future reference. Improper use may cause electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Do not immerse the kettle, power base, or cord in water or other liquids.
• Ensure the appliance is placed on a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Do not operate the kettle if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the kettle malfunctions or has been damaged in any way.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not overfill the kettle beyond the MAX 1.7L mark to prevent boiling water from overflowing.
• Do not operate the kettle without water (boil-dry protection is included, but it's best to avoid).
• Always ensure the lid is securely closed before operating.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

Setup and First Use

Before using your Aigostar Electric Kettle for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Unpack the kettle and its base from the packaging.
2. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or base in water.
3. Fill the kettle with water up to the MAX 1.7L mark.
4. Boil the water. Discard this first boiled water.
5. Repeat the boiling and discarding process 2-3 times to ensure optimal taste and cleanliness.

Operating Instructions

Using your Aigostar Electric Kettle is simple and efficient:

1. Fill the Kettle: Open the lid using the one-touch button and fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN (0.5L) and MAX (1.7L) marks. Close the lid securely.
2. Place on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto its 360° rotational power base.
3. Start Boiling: Plug the power base into a standard 110-120 volt electrical outlet. Press the ON/OFF switch located on the handle downwards. The blue LED light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
4. Auto Shutoff: The kettle will automatically turn off once the water reaches a rolling boil, and the blue LED light will extinguish.
5. Pour Water: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. The cool-touch handle ensures safe handling.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and descaling will prolong the life of your kettle and ensure optimal performance.

1. Daily Cleaning: Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
2. Interior Cleaning: The smooth glass surface and large opening make the interior easy to clean. You can hand wash the interior with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Descaling: Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up over time, especially in hard water areas. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or as needed).
   • Mix 3 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice with water.
   • Fill the kettle with this solution and allow it to sit for 5-8 hours, or overnight.
   • Boil the solution, then discard it.
   • Rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any residue or odor.
