Important Safety Instructions

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference.

• Fully unroll the appliance's power cable before each use.
• Do not use the appliance if the accessories attached to it are defective. Replace them immediately.

• Respect the MAX level indicator (Fig. 1) when filling water.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task.
• This appliance is for household use only, not professional or industrial use.
• Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or those with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities who are unfamiliar with its use.
• Do not store or transport the appliance if it is still hot.
• If the iron is left in its housing at maximum temperature for prolonged periods, this may cause discolouration, which will not affect appliance operation in any way.
• To ensure that the iron functions correctly, keep the soleplate scratch-free and do not use it on metal objects (e.g. the ironing board, buttons, zips...).
• The use of distilled water is recommended, especially if the water in your area contains any type of salt or is "hard" (contains calcium or magnesium).
• Check that the lid is closed properly before switching the appliance on.
• Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if it is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.
• Never rest the appliance on a surface while in use.
• Do not use the appliance on any part of the body of a person or animal.
• Do not use the appliance on pets or animals.
• Do not use the appliance to dry garments of any kind.
• Turning the thermostat control to the minimum (MIN) setting does not guarantee that the iron is switched off completely.

Setup and First Use

Before First Use:

1. Unpack the iron and its accessories.
2. Ensure all packaging materials are removed.
3. Fully unroll the power cable of the charging base.
4. It is normal to find visible water droplets in the tank, indicating factory testing for quality performance.

Filling with Water:

1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the mains.
2. Open the lid on the filling spout.
3. Fill the tank, taking care to respect the MAX level (indicated on the iron).
4. Close the filling spout lid completely.

Operating Instructions

General Use:

1. Connect the charging base to the mains power supply (16 Amp plug recommended).
2. Place the iron onto the charging base.
3. Turn the thermostat control to the desired temperature position based on the fabric type. Refer to the temperature guide below.
4. Wait until the pilot light (if present) goes out, indicating that the appliance has reached the adequate temperature.
5. During use, the pilot light will automatically flash on and off, indicating that the heating elements are operating to maintain the desired temperature.

Temperature Guide:

• • Temperature for synthetic fibres (Polyester, Nylon).
• •• Temperature for silk, wool (Minimum temperature for ironing with steam).
• ••• Temperature for cotton.
• MAX Temperature for linen.

If a garment has various kinds of fibres, select the temperature for the fibre that requires the lowest temperature. For example, select the temperature for polyester for a fabric made out of 60% polyester and 40% cotton.

Using Steam Functions:

• Continuous Steam: Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature is set to a steam-appropriate level (•• or •••). The iron will produce continuous steam.
• Steam Burst: For stubborn creases, press the steam burst button. This releases a powerful burst of steam. Do not use more than 2 times every 30 seconds to allow the iron to reheat.
• Spray Function: Use the spray button to lightly moisten fabrics before ironing, which helps in removing wrinkles.
• Vertical Steam: Hold the iron vertically and press the steam burst button to steam hanging garments, curtains, or drapes.

Cordless Operation:

The iron can be lifted from its charging base for cordless use. It retains heat for approximately 30-40 seconds, providing freedom of movement. Return the iron to the base periodically to reheat and maintain optimal temperature.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning the Iron:

1. Always unplug the iron from the mains and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the exterior of the iron with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Avoid scratching the soleplate with metal objects.

Self-Clean Function:

The self-clean function helps remove calcium buildup and other impurities from your steam iron, ensuring optimal performance and preventing blockages.

1. Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
2. Set the temperature dial to MAX.
3. Plug in the iron and allow it to heat up until the pilot light goes out.
4. Unplug the iron.
5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
6. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available) or activate the self-clean function as per the specific model's instructions. Hot water and steam will flush out impurities from the soleplate holes.
7. Gently shake the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
8. Plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
9. Unplug and store once cool.

Anti-Calc Function and Descaling Recommendations:

The anti-calc function works to reduce mineral deposits, especially when using hard water. For optimal performance, the use of distilled water is recommended.

To correctly work and keep the iron free of lime scale or magnesium incrustation caused by the use of hard water:

• To prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the use of water with low lime or magnesium mineralisation.
• Homemade solutions are not recommended for de-scaling this appliance, such as the use of vinegar.
