CHOICEMMED Finger Pulse Oximeter Instruction Manual
Model: B07D1D1BDQ
Introduction
The CHOICEMMED Finger Pulse Oximeter is a non-invasive device designed for spot-checking blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR) in adults and children. It is intended for home use and provides a convenient way to monitor these vital signs.
Important: This device is not intended for continuous monitoring or medical diagnosis. Consult a healthcare professional for interpretation of results and medical advice.

2. Attaching the Lanyard
Thread the thin end of the lanyard through the loop hole on the side of the oximeter. Then, thread the thicker end of the lanyard through the thin loop and pull to secure it.
Operating Instructions
1. Taking a Measurement
- Ensure the oximeter has batteries installed.
- Open the clamp of the oximeter.
- Insert one of your fingers (preferably the index, middle, or ring finger) into the rubber opening of the oximeter, ensuring your fingernail is facing upwards towards the display.
- Release the clamp, allowing the oximeter to gently close on your finger.
- Press the power button once to turn on the device.
- Keep your hand still and avoid movement during the measurement.
- The readings for SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation) and PR (pulse rate) will appear on the display within a few seconds.
- The device will automatically power off after approximately 8 seconds of inactivity.

2. Understanding the Display
The oximeter features a bright LED display that shows your SpO2 and Pulse Rate. The display direction can be changed for easy viewing.
- %SpO2: Blood Oxygen Saturation level.
- PR BPM: Pulse Rate in beats per minute.
- Pulse Bar Graph: Indicates the strength of the pulse.
- Battery Indicator: Shows the remaining battery life.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Oximeter
- Clean the surface of the oximeter before and after each use.
- Use a soft cloth dampened with medical alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol) to wipe the surface.
- Do not immerse the oximeter in water or any other cleaning solution.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or corrosive chemicals.
- Ensure the device is completely dry before storage or next use.
Battery Replacement and Storage
- Replace batteries when the low power indicator appears on the display.
- If the oximeter will not be used for an extended period (more than 3 months), remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage to the device.
- Store the oximeter in its carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display after pressing power button. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed. | Replace batteries or re-install them correctly, ensuring polarity matches. |
| SpO2 or Pulse Rate readings are unstable or not appearing. | Finger not properly inserted; excessive movement; cold hands; poor circulation; fingernail polish/acrylic nails. | Re-insert finger correctly; remain still; warm hands if cold; remove nail polish/acrylics. |
| SpO2 reading is not changing or seems "stuck". | SpO2 changes more slowly than pulse rate. | Allow more time for the reading to stabilize. Ensure proper finger placement and stillness. |
| Battery indicator is not visible. | The battery indicator only appears when the battery level is low. | This is normal operation. Replace batteries when the indicator appears. |
| Pulse rate is changing rapidly. | Normal physiological response to emotions, excitement, or physical exercise. | This can be a normal variation. If concerned, consult a healthcare professional. |
