Introduction

The SZBJ IR Repeater System is designed to extend the range of your infrared (IR) remote controls, allowing you to operate audio/video equipment that is hidden from view or located in another room. This system ensures real-time transmission of IR signals without delay, providing seamless control over your devices.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your IR Repeater System:

1. Connect the IR Receiver: Plug the IR Receiver into one of the 3.5mm ports labeled "IR Receiver" on the distribution box. Position the IR Receiver in a location where it has a clear line of sight to your remote control.
2. Connect the IR Emitters: Plug the dual head IR Emitters into the 3.5mm ports labeled "IR Emitter" on the distribution box. Each dual head emitter can control two devices.
3. Position the IR Emitters: Carefully peel the adhesive backing from each IR Emitter and attach it directly over the IR sensor window of the device you wish to control. Ensure the emitter is securely placed and aligned with the device's IR sensor for optimal performance.

4. Connect Power: Plug the 12V DC 500 MA power plug into the "DC 12V" port on the distribution box, then plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The power LED on the distribution box should illuminate.
5. Verify Connection: The IR Receiver has an indication light. A green light indicates power is connected. A red light will flash when an IR signal is received and transmitted by the emitters.

Important Note on IR Receiver Placement:

• If connecting two or more IR receivers, maintain a distance of at least 6 meters (approximately 20 feet) between them to prevent signal interference.
• Avoid placing the IR receiver directly next to your original set-top box's receiver window without covering the original window. Simultaneous reception by both the original device and the repeater can cause interference.
• Plasma displays emit IR frequencies that can cause interference. Position the IR receiver away from plasma TV screens.

Operating Instructions

Once the system is set up, operating your devices is straightforward:

• Point your existing IR remote control at the IR Receiver.
• The IR Receiver will capture the signal and transmit it to the distribution box.
• The distribution box will then send the signal through the connected IR Emitters to your hidden devices.
• You should experience immediate and responsive control over your devices, even if they are out of direct line of sight.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SZBJ IR Repeater System, consider the following maintenance tips:

• Keep the IR Receiver and Emitters clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Ensure all cable connections are secure and free from kinks or damage.
• Avoid exposing the components to extreme temperatures or moisture.
• Do not attempt to open or repair the distribution box or other components, as this may void any potential warranty.
