2. Safety Information

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING THE SYSTEM.

Always ensure your vehicle is parked safely and the ignition is off before performing any installation or maintenance. Exercise caution when working with electrical connections. This system is an aid to safe driving and parking; it does not replace the need for careful observation and adherence to all traffic laws.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Pre-Installation Check

Most RVs are prepped for the Vision S sharkfin camera system, which simplifies installation by eliminating extensive drilling. However, some late model towing vehicles may require a Furrion F2BC004XXBK power adapter for compatibility. Verify your vehicle's readiness before beginning installation.

3.2 Pairing the Camera and Monitor

Before permanent installation, it is recommended to pair the camera with the monitor. This process is straightforward:

  1. Plug the monitor into a 12V cigarette lighter/adapter in your vehicle.
  2. Connect the camera to the split wire connection on the monitor's power cable.
  3. Turn on the monitor. The system should automatically pair. If not, access the monitor's menu and select the pairing option.

3.3 Camera Installation

For RVs pre-wired with a sharkfin plate, the installation is simplified:

  1. Remove the existing sharkfin plate from the rear of your RV.
  2. Carefully remove the camera from its factory case.
  3. Connect the camera to the pre-installed wiring within the RV's sharkfin housing.
  4. Mount the camera into the RV's sharkfin housing using the provided screws. Ensure a secure fit.
  5. Adjust the camera angle to your desired view. The camera is designed to hold its position firmly.

Important Note: For the camera to receive power, your vehicle's parking lights or headlights must be turned on, as many RVs are pre-wired through the marker lights.
