Cloning Process (Rolling Code Simple - Act on the Opener Receiver):

Detailed Programming Steps for XIHADA Remote

Image 5: Visual guide for the remote cloning process.

  1. Clear Existing Codes: Hold down button 1 (top left) and then press button 2 (top right) four times on the universal remote. Release both buttons. The LED on the universal remote will flash every 2 seconds, indicating it is ready for learning.
  2. Clone Original Remote: Place your original remote very close to the universal remote, ideally back-to-back or face-to-face, ensuring they are touching. Hold down the button on your original remote that you wish to copy. The LED on the universal remote will start to flash quickly, indicating it is now learning codes from your original remote.
  3. Store Code: While the LED of the universal remote is flashing quickly, press any button on the universal remote where you want to store the remote's code. The LED will turn off once the code is successfully copied.
  4. Pair with Opener (for Garage Doors): For garage door openers, an additional step is often required. Press the 'LEARN' button on your garage door opener receiver (the mechanical unit that opens the door). The LED on your garage door opener should illuminate.
  5. Activate Opener: Immediately after pressing the 'LEARN' button on the opener, press the button you just programmed on the universal remote. The lights on your garage door opener should either flash or go on and off depending on the brand of the opener, confirming successful pairing.
  6. You can now test the functionality of the universal remote to open your garage door or gate.

Note: If you encounter difficulties, refer to the manufacturer's detailed programming video, which may be available on their product listing page or website.

7. Operating

Once successfully programmed, operating the XIHADA Universal Remote Cloner is straightforward. Simply press the corresponding button on the remote that you have programmed for your garage door or gate. Ensure you are within the effective transmission range for reliable operation.

8. Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

The remote uses one CR2032 3V lithium battery. When the remote's range decreases or the LED indicator becomes dim, it is time to replace the battery. To replace, carefully open the remote casing (often by unscrewing a small screw or prying gently along the seam) and replace the old battery with a new CR2032, ensuring correct polarity.

Cleaning:

Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the remote in liquids.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not programming:
    • Ensure your original remote is working correctly and has a strong battery.
    • Verify that your original remote and opener system are listed as compatible (refer to Section 5).
    • Make sure the universal remote's existing codes are cleared before attempting to clone.
    • Ensure the original remote and universal remote are in close contact during the cloning step.
    • If cloning a rolling code, ensure you complete the pairing step with your garage door opener's 'LEARN' button.
  • Short operating range:
    • Replace the battery in the universal remote.
    • Ensure there are no major obstructions between the remote and the receiver.
  • Remote LED does not light up:
    • Check or replace the CR2032 battery.
