1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your U.S. Solid 3/4" Motorized Ball Valve. This electrical ball valve features NPT threading, operates on 85-265V AC, and includes a 2-wire auto-return setup. It is designed to minimize pressure loss and automatically cuts off power once fully open or closed, reducing the likelihood of overheating.
Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and longevity of the product.
2. Safety Information
WARNING:
- The valve is not explosion-proof and should not be used in environments with explosive or corrosive gases.
- Do not dismantle the actuator and valve when the power is on.
- It is recommended to install a filter to remove medium coarse impurities.
- Not for use underwater. Please enclose the valves in protective housing if permanently installed outside.
- Lead content: 3.05%. It cannot be used on drinking water.
- Ensure proper electrical connections are made to prevent short circuits or damage to the unit.
- Always disconnect power before performing any installation or maintenance.

4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Threading and Sealing
The valve features 3/4" Brass NPT threading, manufactured and measured according to National Pipe Thread standards. For a water-tight seal, it is recommended to apply PTFE (Teflon) tape to the male pipe threads before screwing the valve into place. Screw firmly to ensure a secure connection.

4.2 Electrical Wiring (2-Wire Auto Return)
This valve operates with a simple 2-wire auto-return setup. The valve largely de-energizes after opening and returns to a fully closed position if power is removed. It works effectively over an entire voltage range of 85-265V AC.
Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connection. The red wire can be connected to either the positive or negative pole, with the green wire connected to the opposite pole. Once energized, the valve will open and remain open. If power is disconnected, the valve will close.

5. Operating Instructions
The U.S. Solid Motorized Ball Valve is designed for straightforward operation. It will open or close the valve in 3-5 seconds.
- Opening the Valve: Apply power to the valve. The motor will actuate the ball to the open position. Once fully open, power consumption becomes nominal (near zero).
- Closing the Valve: Disconnect power from the valve. The auto-return mechanism will automatically move the ball to the fully closed position. Once closed, power consumption is zero.
This auto-cut-off feature makes it a suitable alternative to solenoid valves for applications requiring the valve to remain open for extended periods without continuous power draw.

6. Maintenance
The U.S. Solid Motorized Ball Valve is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. Its lifespan is rated for 80,000-100,000 cycles.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check for any signs of leaks around the connections. Ensure the wiring remains secure and free from damage.
- Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the valve and actuator clean from dust and debris to prevent interference with moving parts or heat dissipation.
- Environmental Protection: If installed outdoors, consider additional protective housing to shield the valve from harsh weather conditions, as it is rated IP65 (dust-tight and protected against water jets).
7. Troubleshooting
- Valve Not Operating:
- Check power supply: Ensure the valve is receiving the correct voltage (85-265V AC).
- Inspect wiring: Verify all connections are secure and correctly wired according to the diagram in Section 4.2.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure there are no physical obstructions preventing the ball from turning.
- Valve Leaking:
- Check threaded connections: Ensure PTFE (Teflon) tape was applied correctly and connections are tightened sufficiently.
- Inspect for damage: Look for any visible cracks or damage to the valve body.
- Unusual Noise During Operation:
- This may indicate internal wear or an obstruction. If the noise persists or affects performance, contact customer support.
