Setup

1. Charging the Headphones

  1. Locate the USB charging port on the headphones.
  2. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the headphones and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. Allow the headphones to charge fully before first use. A full charge ensures optimal battery life for extended detecting sessions.

2. Pairing via Bluetooth (Wireless Operation)

The ML80 headphones are compatible with MINELAB EQUINOX 600, EQUINOX 800, and VANQUISH 540 metal detectors.

  1. Ensure your metal detector is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to your detector's manual for specific instructions).
  2. Power on the ML80 headphones. They should automatically enter pairing mode or can be manually set to pairing mode (typically by holding the power button until an indicator light flashes).
  3. Once the headphones appear on your detector's Bluetooth device list, select them to complete the pairing process.
  4. A successful connection will be indicated by a solid light on the headphones and an audio confirmation.

3. Wired Operation

For situations where wireless connectivity is not preferred or battery is low, the headphones can be used in wired mode:

  1. Connect one end of the supplied AUX cable to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the ML80 headphones.
  2. Connect the other end of the AUX cable to the headphone socket on your metal detector.
  3. The headphones will automatically switch to wired mode.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light illuminates.
  • To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns off.

Volume Control

Adjust the volume directly on your connected metal detector or via the volume controls located on the headphones (if available, typically +/- buttons).

Using with Metal Detectors

The ML80 headphones are optimized for use with MINELAB EQUINOX 600, EQUINOX 800, and VANQUISH 540 metal detectors. The apt-X Low Latency technology ensures that audio signals from your detector are transmitted with minimal delay, allowing for precise target identification.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headphones with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the headphones in the provided protective carrying case to prevent damage from dust, moisture, and impacts.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headphones frequently. Charge them regularly, especially if they will be stored for an extended period.
