3. Setup and First Use

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Remove any protective films or packaging materials.
2. Cleaning: Before first use, wash all removable plates and the ceramic pot with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the main hot plate unit on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to ensure proper ventilation.
4. Plate Installation: Select the desired cooking plate or ceramic pot and place it securely onto the heating element of the main unit. Ensure it sits flat and is properly aligned.
5. Power Connection: Connect the magnetic power cord to the designated port on the side of the main unit. Then, plug the other end into a standard 100V electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Temperature Control:

The appliance features a simple slide-type thermostat control with four settings: OFF, WARM, LOW, MED, and HI. The indicator lamp will illuminate when the unit is heating.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BRUNO Compact Hot Plate.

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Remove Plates/Pot: Carefully remove the cooking plate or ceramic pot from the main unit.
3. Washing: Wash the removable plates and ceramic pot with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. For stubborn food residue, soak the item in warm water for a few minutes before scrubbing. The non-stick coating on the plates and ceramic pot makes cleaning easy.
4. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the main unit in water.
5. Drying: Ensure all components are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing.
