1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Bitmain AntMiner L3++ Scrypt ASIC Litecoin Miner. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure proper functionality and safety.
2. Product Overview
The Bitmain AntMiner L3++ is a high-performance Scrypt ASIC miner designed for Litecoin and other Scrypt-based cryptocurrencies. It comes equipped with a dedicated power supply unit (PSU) to ensure stable and efficient operation.

3. Safety Information
- Ensure the device is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
- Do not operate the miner in environments with high humidity or extreme temperatures outside the specified range (0-40 ℃ operating, -40-85 ℃ storage, 5%RH-95%RH humidity, non-condensing).
- The AntMiner L3++ generates significant noise (approximately 76 dB). Consider its placement to minimize disturbance.
- Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance or handling internal components.
- Use only the provided or recommended power supply unit and cables.
- Avoid powering a single hash board with two PSUs. Ensure all two PCI-E ports are used to power each board.
4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the AntMiner L3++ and its components from the packaging. Inspect for any visible damage. If any damage is found, contact your vendor immediately.
4.2 Connecting the Power Supply
- Connect the PCI-E power connectors from the Power Supply Unit (PSU) to the corresponding PCI-E ports on the AntMiner L3++. Ensure all two PCI-E ports are connected to power each hash board.
- Connect the power cable to the PSU, then plug the other end into a grounded electrical outlet.
- It is recommended to power up the hash boards before the control board.
4.3 Network Connection
Connect an Ethernet cable from your network router or switch to the Ethernet port on the AntMiner L3++.
4.4 Initial Configuration
- Power on the AntMiner L3++.
- Locate the miner's IP address. This can typically be found by logging into your network router's administration interface and checking connected devices.
- Open a web browser (e.g., Firefox) and enter the miner's IP address into the address bar.
- Log in using the default credentials (commonly 'root' for both username and password, if not specified otherwise).
- Configure your mining pool settings and other preferences as required.
5. Operating Instructions
Once configured, the AntMiner L3++ will begin mining automatically. Monitor its status through the web interface. Key metrics to observe include hash rate, chip temperature, and fan speed.
- Monitoring: Regularly check the miner's web interface for performance data and error logs.
- Environmental Control: Maintain the operating environment within the specified temperature and humidity ranges to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
6. Maintenance
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean the miner, especially the cooling fans and heatsinks, to prevent dust buildup which can impede airflow and lead to overheating. Use compressed air for best results.
- Firmware Updates: Check the official Bitmain website for any available firmware updates. Apply updates as recommended to improve performance or address security vulnerabilities.
- Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect all power and network cables for any signs of wear or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately.
7. Troubleshooting
- Miner Not Powering On: Verify all power cables are securely connected to the PSU and the miner. Ensure the power outlet is functional. Check the PSU for any indicator lights.
- No Network Connectivity: Confirm the Ethernet cable is properly connected to both the miner and the router/switch. Check your router settings to ensure the miner is assigned an IP address. Try restarting your router and the miner.
- Low Hash Rate or Hashboard Errors: This could indicate an issue with one or more hash boards. Check the miner's web interface for specific error messages related to hash boards. Ensure proper ventilation and operating temperature.
- Unable to Access Web Interface: Ensure you have the correct IP address. Try accessing the interface using a different web browser. Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
