6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Playing Records
- Open the lid of the record player.
- Place a record on the platter. For 45 RPM singles, place the mini-LP attachment (adapter) on the spindle first.
- Select the appropriate speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector switch.
- Release the tonearm lock.
- Gently raise the tonearm using the lift lever.
- Position the tonearm over the desired starting groove of the record.
- Slowly lower the tonearm using the lift lever. The platter will begin to rotate automatically.
- Adjust the volume using the volume control knob.
- At the end of the record, the tonearm will automatically return to its rest position (auto-stop function). If not, manually lift the tonearm and return it to its rest.
- Secure the tonearm with the lock and close the lid when finished.
6.2 Digitizing Records via USB
The AUNA Peggy Sue allows you to convert your vinyl records into digital audio files.
- Connect the record player to your computer using the provided USB cable.
- Install the Audacity recording software (included) on your computer.
- Open Audacity and configure the input device to recognize the record player.
- Start recording in Audacity, then begin playing your record as described in Section 6.1.
- Once the record has finished playing, stop the recording in Audacity.
- You can then edit, save, and export your digitized audio files using Audacity.
6.3 Connecting External Speakers (RCA Output)
To connect your record player to an external amplifier or powered speakers:
- Locate the RCA output ports on the rear of the record player.
- Connect an RCA cable (not included) from these ports to the audio input of your external amplifier or powered speakers.
- Ensure the external audio system is set to the correct input source.
- Adjust the volume on your external audio system. The record player's internal speakers will be muted when an external connection is made.
