Battery Installation
The Logitech G305 mouse operates on a single AA battery. To install or replace the battery, gently remove the top cover of the mouse by pulling it upwards from the rear. Insert the AA battery into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Replace the top cover by aligning it and pressing down until it clicks securely into place.

Operating
Button Functions
The Logitech G305 features 6 programmable buttons for enhanced control. These include the left-click, right-click, scroll wheel (which also functions as a middle click button), and two customizable side buttons. A dedicated DPI cycle button is located near the scroll wheel.
DPI Adjustment
The DPI (Dots Per Inch) button allows you to instantly switch between different sensitivity settings. Pressing this button cycles through four pre-set DPI levels, each indicated by a different color LED light next to the button. These settings can be customized using the Logitech G Hub software.

Customizing Buttons with Logitech G Hub
For advanced customization, download and install the Logitech G Hub software from the official Logitech website. This software allows you to reassign functions to all 6 programmable buttons, create custom macros, and fine-tune DPI settings from 200 to 12,000 DPI. You can also manage profiles for different games and applications.

Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your Logitech G305 mouse. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. For the sensor, use a dry cotton swab to gently remove any dust or debris.
Battery Replacement
The G305 provides up to 250 hours of continuous gameplay on a single AA battery. When the battery is low, the mouse will stop functioning rather than glitching, indicating it's time for replacement. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup' section to replace the AA battery.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Mouse Not Responding
Ensure the mouse is powered on using the switch on the bottom. Verify that the AA battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Check that the USB wireless receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port if necessary.
DPI Issues
If DPI settings are not changing as expected, ensure the Logitech G Hub software is running and the mouse profile is active. Verify that the DPI levels are correctly configured within the software.
Connectivity Problems
If the mouse loses connection, try re-pairing it by unplugging and re-plugging the USB receiver. Ensure there are no significant obstructions or sources of interference (like other wireless devices) between the mouse and the receiver. For optimal performance, keep the mouse within close proximity to the receiver.
