5. Maintenance

5.1. Water and Nutrient Management

  • Refill the water reservoir when the 'Add Water' indicator turns red. Use fresh tap water.
  • Add liquid plant food when the 'Add Plant Food' indicator flashes. Follow the dosage instructions on the bottle.
  • Change the water completely and clean the reservoir every 2-4 weeks to prevent algae buildup and ensure nutrient availability.

  • Harvest herbs and vegetables as needed. Regular harvesting promotes continued production.
  • Remove any yellowing or dead leaves promptly.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Common Issues and Solutions

Seeds Not Germinating:

Ensure grow domes are in place to maintain humidity. If seeds still don't sprout after 21 days, contact AeroGarden support for replacement pods (if covered by germination guarantee).

Plants Touching Grow Domes/Light:

Remove grow domes once seedlings emerge. Raise the grow light as plants grow to prevent leaf burn.

Algae Growth in Reservoir:

Perform regular water changes and clean the reservoir thoroughly. Ensure the grow deck is properly seated to minimize light exposure to the water.

Plants Wilting or Discolored:

Check water levels and ensure plant food has been added correctly. Verify the pump is functioning and roots are not tangled or blocking it. Trim roots if they appear excessively long or matted.
