Setup
1. Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the trash can for any damage. Keep packaging away from children.
2. Battery Installation
The sensor mechanism requires batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment, usually on the underside of the lid or at the back of the sensor unit. Insert the required batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
3. Installing a Trash Bag
- Lift the lid of the trash can.
- Place a standard 50-liter trash bag into the main compartment.
- Secure the top edge of the trash bag under the removable inner ring. This ring holds the bag in place and hides any excess bag material.
- Lower the lid back into position.

4. Placement
Place the trash can on a flat, stable surface in your desired location. Ensure there is enough clearance around the foot sensor for easy activation.
Operating Instructions
1. Opening the Lid (Foot Sensor)
To open the lid, gently tap the foot sensor located at the base of the trash can with your foot. The lid will open automatically and remain open for a few seconds before closing softly.

2. Keeping the Lid Open
If you need the lid to stay open for a longer period, for example, when changing the trash bag or during extended use, keep your foot on the sensor. The lid will remain open until you remove your foot or tap the sensor again.
3. Closing the Lid
The lid will close automatically and silently after a few seconds of inactivity or when you remove your foot from the sensor after keeping it open. The soft-close mechanism prevents slamming and reduces noise.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
To clean the exterior of the trash can, use a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Wipe dry immediately to prevent water spots. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the brushed stainless steel finish. The fingerprint-resistant surface requires minimal cleaning.

2. Battery Replacement
When the sensor lid becomes slow to open or stops responding, it is likely time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps (Section 3.2) to replace them with fresh ones.

- Lid not opening or closing:
- Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the lid from moving freely.
- Clean the sensor area to remove any dirt or debris that might interfere with its operation.
- Lid closing too quickly:
- Ensure you are tapping the sensor correctly. If you need it to stay open longer, keep your foot on the sensor.
- Check battery power; low batteries can affect sensor response time.
- Unpleasant odors:
- Ensure the lid is closing completely to seal in odors.
- Regularly clean the interior of the trash can and replace trash bags promptly.
