2. Mount the Solar Panel: Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the solar panel to a wall or eave. Ensure the panel is angled to maximize sun exposure.
3. Choose a Location for the Flood Light: Select a desired location for the flood light unit. This can be a wall or eave. Consider the 110-degree motion detection range and the area you wish to illuminate.

4. Mount the Flood Light: Securely attach the flood light unit to the chosen surface using the appropriate mounting hardware.
5. Connect the Solar Panel to the Light Unit: Plug the 20-ft cord from the solar panel into the designated port on the flood light unit. Ensure a secure connection.

6. Adjust the Lamp Head and Motion Sensor: Loosen the adjustment screws on the lamp head and motion sensor to position them for optimal coverage. Tighten the screws once adjusted.
7. Initial Charge: Allow the solar panel to charge the batteries for at least 24-48 hours in direct sunlight before initial use to ensure full battery capacity.

Operating Instructions

Your Utilitech solar flood light is designed for automatic operation.

• Automatic Operation: The integrated dusk-to-dawn sensor will detect ambient light levels. The flood light will only activate when motion is detected during nighttime hours.
• Motion Detection: The motion sensor has a 110-degree detection angle and can detect movement up to 40 feet away. Position the sensor to cover the desired area.
• Timer Setting: Locate the timer switch on the flood light unit. You can select between a 1-minute or 3-minute illumination duration after motion is detected.
• Adjustable Detection Sensitivity: The motion sensor sensitivity can be adjusted. Refer to the markings on the sensor for specific settings (if available on your model).

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your flood light.

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the solar panel and the LED light lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
• Battery Replacement: The flood light is powered by two 1000 mAh 18500 lithium phosphate solar rechargeable batteries. If the light output diminishes significantly or the light stops working, the batteries may need replacement. Replacement batteries (Lowe's item # 605119) are sold separately.

  To replace batteries:

  1. Carefully open the battery compartment on the flood light unit.
  2. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them properly.
  3. Insert new 18500 lithium phosphate solar rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Securely close the battery compartment.
