4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert one 1.5V AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Placement

The device can be placed on a flat surface using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall using the hanging hole.

• Tabletop Placement: Extend the stand located on the back of the unit and place it on a stable, flat surface.
• Wall Mounting: Use a screw (not included) to hang the unit through the designated hanging hole on the back.

4.3 Outdoor Sensor Placement

If your model includes an external sensor cable, position the sensor outdoors in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate outdoor temperature readings. Route the cable carefully to avoid damage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Overview

• IN: Indicates indoor temperature.
• OUT: Indicates outdoor temperature (measured by external sensor).
• RH%: Indicates relative humidity.
• CLOCK/HUMIDITY: Displays current time and can be used for alarm settings.

5.2 Button Functions

• MODE Button: Press to cycle through display modes: Time, Alarm, Date. Hold to enter setting mode for Time/Date/Alarm.
• ADJ Button: Used to adjust values when in setting mode. Press to switch between 12/24 hour format or °C/°F.
• MEMORY Button: Press to display MAX/MIN temperature and humidity records. Press again to cycle through MAX, MIN, and current values. Hold to clear MAX/MIN records.

5.3 Setting Time and Date

1. Press the MODE button until the time is displayed.
2. Hold the MODE button for approximately 3 seconds until the hour digit flashes.
3. Press the ADJ button to adjust the hour.
4. Press the MODE button to confirm the hour and move to the minute setting.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for minutes, year, month, and date.
6. Press the MODE button to exit setting mode.

5.4 Setting Alarm

1. Press the MODE button until the alarm time is displayed (usually indicated by an alarm icon).
2. Hold the MODE button for approximately 3 seconds until the alarm hour digit flashes.
3. Press the ADJ button to adjust the alarm hour.
4. Press the MODE button to confirm and move to the alarm minute setting.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for alarm minutes.
6. Press the MODE button to exit setting mode.
7. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the ADJ button when the alarm time is displayed. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the screen.

5.5 Switching °C/°F

On the back of the unit, locate the small switch labeled °C/°F. Slide the switch to select your preferred temperature unit.

6. Maintenance

• Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
• If the display becomes dim or unresponsive, replace the AAA battery.
• Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity for prolonged periods.

7. Troubleshooting

• No display or faint display: Check battery polarity, replace with a new AAA battery.
• Inaccurate readings: Ensure the device is placed away from direct heat sources, vents, or open windows (for indoor readings). For outdoor readings, ensure the external sensor is properly positioned and protected.
• Buttons not responding: Try removing and reinserting the battery to reset the device.
