4. Setup
4.1 Prerequisites
An ORVIBO ZigBee Mini Hub is required to use this sensor. Ensure your hub is powered on and connected to your home network.
4.2 Battery Installation
- Gently open the back cover of the main sensor unit.
- Insert a CR2032 coin cell battery, ensuring the positive (+) side faces upwards.
- Close the back cover securely.
4.3 Pairing with ORVIBO Home App
- Download and open the ORVIBO Home app on your smartphone.
- Ensure your ORVIBO ZigBee Mini Hub is added to the app and online.
- In the app, navigate to "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
- Select "Door/Window Sensor" from the list of available devices.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to put the sensor into pairing mode (usually by pressing a small button on the sensor or removing/reinserting the battery). The app will guide you through the process.
- Once paired, you can rename the sensor and assign it to a specific room.
4.4 Mounting the Sensor
The sensor consists of two parts: a main unit and a smaller magnetic component. They must be mounted close to each other (within 1 cm) on a door or window frame.
- Clean the surface where you intend to mount the sensor. Ensure it is dry and free of dust.
- Attach the double-sided tape to the back of both the main sensor unit and the magnetic component.
- Mount the main sensor unit on the fixed part of the door/window frame.
- Mount the magnetic component on the moving part of the door/window, aligning it with the main sensor unit. The gap between the two components should be less than 1 cm when the door/window is closed.
- Test the installation by opening and closing the door/window. Check the ORVIBO Home app to confirm that the sensor status changes accordingly.

5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and paired, the ORVIBO SM11 sensor will continuously monitor the status of your door or window.
- Status Monitoring: The ORVIBO Home app will display the real-time open or closed status of the door/window where the sensor is installed.
- Notifications: You can configure the app to send push notifications to your smartphone when the door/window opens or closes, or if it remains open for a specified period.
- Automation: Integrate the sensor with other ORVIBO smart devices (e.g., lights, alarms, MagicCube) to create automated scenarios. For example, turn on a light when a door opens, or trigger an alarm if a window opens while you are away.
- History Records: The app maintains a history of open/close events, allowing you to review past activities.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery level is low, the ORVIBO Home app will notify you. To replace the battery:
- Gently open the back cover of the main sensor unit.
- Remove the old CR2032 coin cell battery.
- Insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ side up).
- Close the back cover securely.
- Dispose of the old battery responsibly according to local regulations.
6.2 Cleaning
Wipe the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.
7. Troubleshooting
