Setup
Setting up your Thermacell Patio Shield is quick and easy:
- Insert Repellent Mat: Slide one 4-hour repellent mat into the top opening of the repeller.
- Twist in Fuel Cartridge: Remove the cap from the 12-hour fuel cartridge. Insert the cartridge into the bottom of the repeller and twist it securely into place.
- Rotate to ON and Start: Rotate the base of the repeller to the "ON" position. Then, click it to "START" to ignite the fuel.
- Check Indicator: Look for an orange glow in the view window on the side of the device, indicating it is active.
- Allow Zone to Form: Place the repeller in the center of the area you wish to protect. Allow 15 minutes for the 15-foot protection zone to fully form.
Operating Instructions
For optimal performance and continuous mosquito protection, follow these operating guidelines:
- Replace the fuel cartridge every 12 hours of use.
- Replace the repellent mat every 4 hours, or when it turns white.
- Always place the repeller in the center of the area you wish to protect.
- On windy days, place the repeller upwind so the repellent is carried towards you.
- Ensure the orange glow is visible in the view window to confirm the device is active.
