4. Setup

4.1 Mounting the Motor

  2. Loosen the transom clamp screws on the motor bracket.
  3. Position the motor on the transom, ensuring the shaft is vertical and the propeller is submerged to the correct depth when in water.
  4. Tighten the transom clamp screws securely by hand. Do not overtighten.
  5. For added security, use the provided bolts (if applicable) to permanently attach the bracket to the transom.

4.2 Connecting the Battery

  1. Ensure the motor is turned OFF before connecting the battery.
  2. Connect the red (positive) cable from the motor to the positive (+) terminal of your 12-volt deep cycle marine battery.
  3. Connect the black (negative) cable from the motor to the negative (-) terminal of your battery.
  4. Ensure all connections are clean, tight, and free of corrosion.
