4.2 Wall Mounting

  1. Determine Mounting Location: Choose a location on your wall that is structurally sound and allows for optimal viewing. Use a stud finder to locate wood studs if mounting to wood.
  2. Mark Drill Holes: Hold the wall plate of the mount against the wall at the desired height and use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the drill hole locations with a pencil.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. The size of the drill bit will depend on your wall type (e.g., wood stud, concrete, brick). Refer to the hardware instructions for specific drill bit sizes.

4.3 Attaching to Television

  2. Select TV Screws: Choose the correct diameter and length of screws from the provided hardware kit that fit your TV's mounting holes. Use washers and spacers if necessary to ensure a snug fit without overtightening.
  3. Attach TV Mounting Plate: Secure the TV mounting plate to the back of your television using the selected screws. Do not overtighten.

  1. Lift and Hook: With assistance, carefully lift the television with the attached mounting plate and hook it onto the wall-mounted arm assembly.
  2. Secure TV: Ensure the TV is securely seated on the mount. Depending on the design, there may be safety screws or locking mechanisms to prevent accidental dislodgement. Engage these mechanisms as per the specific instructions provided with your mount.

5. Operating Instructions

The SCHWAIGER LWHD5530 mount offers various adjustments for optimal viewing.

5.1 Adjusting Tilt

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodic Checks: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Over time, vibrations or adjustments may cause fasteners to loosen.
  • Lubrication: The moving parts of the mount are designed for maintenance-free operation. Do not apply lubricants unless specifically instructed by the manufacturer.

7. Troubleshooting

  • TV is not level: Check the wall plate installation to ensure it is level. Adjust the TV mounting plate if it has a leveling feature.
  • Difficulty adjusting the mount: Ensure no cables are obstructing movement. Check if any adjustment knobs or bolts are overtightened. For gas spring models, ensure the gas spring tension is correctly set for your TV's weight.
  • Mount feels unstable: Immediately remove the TV from the mount. Re-check all wall mounting and TV attachment screws for tightness. Verify that the wall structure is adequate for the combined weight.
