Important Safety Instructions

• Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
• Always unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning, assembling, or disassembling parts.
• Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid. Clean with a damp cloth only.

Setup

Before first use, wash all detachable parts (jug, lid, blade assembly) in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry. The motor base should only be wiped with a damp cloth.

1. Place the motor base on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
2. Ensure the blade assembly is securely fitted into the bottom of the glass jug.
3. Carefully place the glass jug onto the motor base. Rotate it slightly until it locks into position. The blender features a safety lock system to prevent operation if the jug is not correctly seated.
4. Place the lid securely on top of the glass jug.
5. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective blending:

1. Prepare Ingredients: Cut solid ingredients into small pieces (approximately 2-3 cm) to facilitate blending. Add liquids first, then softer ingredients, and finally harder ingredients or ice.
2. Fill the Jug: Do not exceed the maximum fill line (1.5 liters) indicated on the jug. Overfilling can lead to spills and reduced blending efficiency.
3. Secure the Lid: Always ensure the lid is firmly in place before starting the blender.
4. Select Speed: Turn the control dial to your desired speed setting (1 or 2).
   • Speed 1: For softer ingredients, mixing, and lighter blending tasks.
   • Speed 2: For harder ingredients, thicker mixtures, and more intensive blending.
5. Pulse Function: For short bursts of maximum power, turn the dial to the "PULSE" setting and hold it. Release to stop. This is ideal for chopping, crushing ice, or achieving specific textures.
6. Ice Crushing: The Jata BT797 is capable of crushing ice. Use the "PULSE" function for best results. Add a moderate amount of ice cubes to the jug.
7. Stop Operation: To stop blending, turn the control dial back to the "0" (off) position.
8. Unplug: Always unplug the blender from the power outlet after use and before removing the jug or cleaning.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your blender.

1. Unplug: Always unplug the blender before cleaning.
2. Disassemble: Remove the glass jug from the motor base. Carefully detach the blade assembly from the bottom of the jug. Remove the lid.
3. Clean Jug and Lid: Wash the glass jug and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The glass jug is also dishwasher safe.
4. Clean Blade Assembly: Exercise extreme caution when cleaning the blades as they are very sharp. Use a brush to remove food residue. Rinse under running water. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
5. Clean Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
6. Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the blender. Store in a dry place.
