Note: Surface Pro Signature Type Cover and Microsoft Surface Pen are sold separately.

Initial Setup

  1. Charge the Device: Connect the power supply to your Surface Pro and a power outlet. Allow the device to charge fully before first use. The power supply has a built-in USB-A port for charging other devices.
  2. Power On: Press the power button located on the top edge of the device.
  3. Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, region, and connect to a Wi-Fi network. You will also be guided through setting up your Windows account.
  4. Install Updates: After initial setup, ensure your Surface Pro is connected to the internet and check for any available Windows updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  5. Attach Type Cover (Optional): If you have a Surface Pro Type Cover, align it with the magnetic connector at the bottom edge of the Surface Pro until it snaps into place.
  6. Pair Surface Pen (Optional): If you have a Surface Pen, follow the pairing instructions provided with the pen or refer to the Windows Bluetooth settings.
