4.1 Main Unit (Diagnostic Tablet)

4.2 VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) Module

The VCI module is the communication bridge between the diagnostic tablet and the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit). It connects to the vehicle's OBD-II port or other diagnostic connectors and communicates wirelessly (e.g., Bluetooth) or via USB with the main unit.

  2. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the main unit to turn it on.
  3. Connect VCI to Vehicle: Locate the vehicle's diagnostic port (usually under the dashboard). Connect the appropriate diagnostic cable to the VCI module, then connect the other end to the vehicle's diagnostic port.
  4. Connect VCI to Main Unit: The VCI module typically connects wirelessly (Bluetooth) to the main unit. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on the tablet and pair with the VCI module. Alternatively, some VCI modules can connect via a USB cable.
  5. Vehicle Ignition: Turn the vehicle's ignition to the "ON" position (engine off) or start the engine as required by the diagnostic procedure.
