1. Product Overview

The Skysonic FS-1 is an advanced active dual-system pickup designed for acoustic guitars. It integrates both a magnetic pickup to capture string vibrations and a microphone to capture the guitar's natural acoustic sound, providing a rich and balanced output. This system features wireless transmission, offering freedom of movement without compromising audio quality.

The FS-1 delivers a large, thick, warm, and balanced medium-to-low frequency output, suitable for various musical styles.

3. Setup and Installation

The FS-1 pickup is designed for free-hole installation, meaning no permanent modifications to your guitar are required. It is compatible with folk acoustic guitars with a sound hole diameter between 90mm and 105mm.

1. Positioning: Gently slide the pickup unit into the guitar's sound hole. Ensure the pickup is centered and securely seated.
2. Securing: The pickup is designed to fit snugly. Adjust the clamps on the sides of the pickup to firmly grip the edges of the sound hole without causing damage.
3. Receiver Connection: Plug the wireless receiver (SW-801) into your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface's input jack.

4. Operating Instructions

The Skysonic FS-1 offers true wireless operation for maximum convenience.

1. Power On: Locate the power button on both the FS-1 pickup unit (transmitter) and the SW-801 receiver. Press and hold each button until the indicator lights illuminate, signifying they are powered on.
2. Pairing: The transmitter and receiver should automatically pair. A stable indicator light on both units confirms a successful connection.
3. Volume Adjustment: Use the volume controls on the pickup unit to adjust the output level.
4. Playing: Once connected, your guitar's amplified sound will be transmitted wirelessly to your amplifier or sound system. The effective transmission distance is up to 30 meters, and can reach 50 meters in barrier-free environments, with no loss of tone quality or expression.
5. Power Off: To conserve battery life, power off both the transmitter and receiver when not in use by pressing and holding their respective power buttons.

5. Charging the Battery

The Skysonic FS-1 pickup and receiver are equipped with high-capacity built-in lithium batteries. They can be charged via a standard USB connection.

• Connect the provided USB charging cable to the Micro USB port on both the transmitter and receiver units.
• Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
• The charging indicator light will show the charging status. Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off.
• A full charge provides approximately 6-8 hours of continuous use.

• No Sound Output:
  • Ensure both the pickup (transmitter) and receiver are powered on.
  • Check if the receiver is properly plugged into your amplifier/mixer.
  • Verify that the volume on the pickup and your amplifier is turned up.
  • Confirm that the transmitter and receiver are paired (indicator lights stable).
  • Check battery levels on both units; recharge if necessary.
• Intermittent Sound/Static:
  • Ensure you are within the effective transmission range (30-50 meters).
  • Minimize obstacles between the transmitter and receiver.
  • Check for other wireless devices operating on similar frequencies that might cause interference.
  • Ensure batteries are sufficiently charged.
• Pickup Not Fitting Sound Hole:
  • Verify your guitar's sound hole diameter is between 90mm and 105mm. The FS-1 is designed for this range.
  • Ensure the clamps are properly adjusted.

8. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the pickup and receiver units. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the units in a cool, dry place. Ensure batteries are partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage to prolong battery life.
• Battery Care: Avoid fully discharging the batteries frequently. Recharge them when the low battery indicator appears.
