3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air cooler from its packaging.
- Remove all packing materials and ensure no components are missing.
- Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
3.2 Attaching Casters
The casters are typically pre-installed or require simple push-in installation into the designated slots at the bottom of the unit. Ensure they are securely fitted for stable movement.
3.3 Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Pull out the water tank from the bottom rear of the unit.
- Fill the tank with clean tap water. Do not exceed the "MAX" fill line. The tank has a 4-liter capacity.
- For enhanced cooling, place the included ice packs in a freezer until frozen. Once frozen, add them directly into the water tank.
- Carefully slide the water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place.
3.4 Placement
For optimal performance, position the air cooler near an open window or patio door to allow for continuous circulation of fresh, cool air. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.

4. Operating Instructions
The MYLEK Air Cooler can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Figure 4.1: Overview of the control panel and remote control functions.
4.1 Control Panel and Remote Functions
| Button/Function | Description |
|---|---|
| ON/OFF | Powers the unit on or off. |
| SPEED | Cycles through 3 fan speeds: Low, Medium, High. |
| MODE | Selects between 3 wind modes: Normal, Natural, Sleep. |
| TIMER | Sets the operating timer for continuous or timed operation. |
| SWING | Activates or deactivates automatic horizontal oscillation (120° wide-angle air distribution). Vertical adjustment is manual. |
| COOL / HUMIDIFIER | Activates the evaporative cooling and humidification function. This circulates cool, moist air. |
| ION / PURIFY | Activates the negative ion function to purify the air by eliminating airborne pollutants. |
4.2 Using the Cooling and Humidifier Function
To activate the cooling and humidifying effect, ensure the water tank is filled and press the "COOL" button on the control panel or remote. The unit will draw in warm air, pass it through the water and ice packs (if used), and release cooler, moisturized air. This process helps combat dry heat and low humidity.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your MYLEK Air Cooler.
5.1 Cleaning the Water Tank
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
- Remove the water tank.
- Drain any remaining water.
- Clean the inside of the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the tank to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Recommendation: Clean the water tank at least once a week, or more frequently if used continuously, to prevent mold and mildew buildup.
5.2 Cleaning the Air Filter
- Unplug the unit.
- Locate the air filter at the rear of the unit (refer to Figure 2.3).
- Carefully remove the filter.
- Clean the filter with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, rinse with water and mild detergent.
- Ensure the filter is completely dry before placing it back into the unit.
5.3 General Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no water enters the control panel or other electrical components.
5.4 Storage
If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is completely empty and dry. Clean all components as described above. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following troubleshooting guide for common issues.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on. | No power supply; Power cord not securely plugged in. | Check if the unit is plugged into a working power outlet. Ensure the power cord is fully inserted. |
| No cool air / Cooling effect is weak. | Water tank empty; Water pump not operating; Ice packs not used or melted; Air filter clogged. | Fill the water tank. Ensure the "COOL" function is activated. Add frozen ice packs. Clean the air filter. Ensure unit is placed in a well-ventilated area. |
| Unit is noisy. | Fan speed too high; Unit not on a level surface; Water pump noise (if water level is low). | Reduce fan speed. Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Ensure water tank is adequately filled. |
| Water leakage from the unit. | Water tank not properly seated; Water tank overfilled; Internal component issue. | Ensure the water tank is correctly and securely inserted. Do not overfill the water tank. If leakage persists, discontinue use and contact customer support. |
| Remote control not working. | Batteries depleted; Obstruction between remote and unit; Remote sensor blocked. | Replace batteries in the remote control. Ensure no obstructions are between the remote and the unit's sensor. |
