4.1. Front/Top Features

  • Large White Button: This is the primary interaction button. Press once to hear the time, press again (within 5 seconds) to hear the day and date.

4.2. Bottom Features

  • Battery Compartment: Located on the bottom. Requires two AAA batteries.
  • SET Button: A small recessed button used for setting the time, date, and alarm. This button is intentionally placed on the bottom to prevent accidental changes.
  • High/Low Volume Switch: Allows adjustment of the announcement volume.

5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Turn the clock upside down to access the battery compartment.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2. Setting Time, Date, and Alarm

The clock features an audio-guided setup process. The SET button is located on the bottom of the clock.

  1. Press and hold the SET button until the clock announces, "Set Time."
  2. Setting the Hour: Each short press of the SET button will advance the hour. The clock will announce the hour as it changes (e.g., "1 PM"). Continue pressing until the correct hour is announced. The clock cycles through AM/PM automatically.
  3. Setting the Minute: After setting the hour, pause briefly (about 3-5 seconds) until the clock announces, "Set Minute." Then, each short press of the SET button will advance the minute. Continue pressing until the correct minute is announced.
  4. Setting the Year: After setting the minute, pause briefly until the clock announces, "Set Year." Each short press of the SET button will advance the year.
  5. Setting the Month: After setting the year, pause briefly until the clock announces, "Set Month." Each short press of the SET button will advance the month.
  6. Setting the Day: After setting the month, pause briefly until the clock announces, "Set Day." Each short press of the SET button will advance the day of the month.
  7. Setting the Alarm: After setting the day, pause briefly until the clock announces, "Set Alarm." Each short press of the SET button will advance the alarm hour. Pause, then press to set the alarm minute.
  8. Alarm On/Off: After setting the alarm time, pause briefly until the clock announces, "Alarm On/Off." Press the SET button once to toggle the alarm on or off. The clock will confirm the status.
  9. Exiting Setup: After setting the alarm status, pause briefly. The clock will announce, "Setup Complete," and return to normal operation.

5.3. Adjusting Volume

Locate the High/Low switch on the bottom of the clock. Slide the switch to your preferred volume setting.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Announcing Time

To hear the current time, simply press the large white button on the top of the clock once. The clock will announce the time in a clear, loud voice (e.g., "It's 3:45 PM").

6.2. Announcing Day and Date

To hear the current day and date, press the large white button on the top of the clock twice in quick succession (within approximately 5 seconds). The clock will announce the day of the week and the date (e.g., "Today is Tuesday, November 1st").

6.3. Alarm Function

If the alarm is set and active, it will sound at the designated time. The alarm will sound for a period and then automatically stop. This clock does not feature a snooze function.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the device.

7.2. Battery Replacement

When the voice announcements become faint or the clock stops functioning, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1. Always replace both AAA batteries at the same time with new ones.
