2. Initial Cleaning:
Before first use, clean all removable parts (carafe, filter basket, permanent filter) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
3. First Use (Cleaning Cycle):
To ensure optimal performance and remove any manufacturing residues, run a cleaning cycle without coffee.

- Place the empty permanent filter or a paper filter into the filter basket.
- Place the carafe on the heater plate.
- Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet.

- Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water from the carafe.
- Repeat this process once or twice if desired.
Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee:
- Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Use the markings on the water window for accurate measurement. Do not exceed the 12-cup MAX line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Place the permanent washable filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your personal taste.
