4. Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your Ergo Injected Armrest Kit:
- Prepare Your Aero Bars: Ensure your aero bars are clean and free of debris where the armrests will be mounted.
- Position the Armrest Base: Place one armrest base onto the mounting bracket of your aero bar. Align the holes on the armrest base with the corresponding holes on your aero bar's mounting plate. The Ergo armrest features multiple bolt patterns to accommodate various positions (Figure 3).
- Secure the Armrest Base: Insert the provided screws through the chosen holes in the armrest base and into the aero bar mounting plate. Use an appropriate Allen wrench to tighten the screws. Do not overtighten.
- Attach the Armrest Pads: The 10mm Ergo armrest pads attach to the armrest bases using a hook-and-loop (Velcro) system. Align the pad with the base and press firmly to secure it (Figure 4).
- Repeat for Second Armrest: Follow the same steps for the second armrest.
- Adjust for Comfort: Sit on your bike and test the position of the armrests. Adjust as needed by loosening the screws, repositioning the armrest base using different bolt holes, or adjusting the pad placement. Ensure both armrests are securely fastened before riding.

5. Operating and Adjustments
The Ergo armrests are designed for extensive adjustability to optimize your aerodynamic position and comfort. The multiple bolt holes on the armrest base allow for fine-tuning of both fore/aft and lateral positions. Experiment with different configurations to find the most comfortable and efficient setup for your riding style.
The 10mm pads provide cushioning and feature a non-slip surface to keep your arms stable during rides. If you need to make minor adjustments to the pad position, simply detach and reattach them using the hook-and-loop fasteners.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the armrest bases with a damp cloth and mild soap. The pads can be hand-washed with mild detergent and air-dried.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the armrests and mounting hardware for any signs of wear, damage, or looseness. Ensure all screws are tight before each ride.
- Pad Replacement: Over time, the armrest pads may compress or wear out. Replacement pads are available from Profile Design or authorized retailers.
7. Troubleshooting
- Armrests feel loose: Check all mounting screws and tighten them securely with an Allen wrench. Ensure the armrest pads are firmly attached to the bases.
- Discomfort during use: Experiment with different bolt hole configurations on the armrest base to adjust the position (fore/aft, lateral) until optimal comfort is achieved.
- Pads slipping: Ensure the hook-and-loop fasteners on both the pads and bases are clean and free of debris. If pads are old and worn, consider replacing them.
