Setup
1. Assembly
The Severin HV 7160 can be assembled as a stick vacuum or used as a handheld unit.
- For Stick Vacuum Assembly:
- Insert the aluminum suction tube into the main vacuum body until it clicks securely.
- Attach the floor brush to the other end of the aluminum suction tube until it clicks.
- For Handheld Vacuum Use:
- The main vacuum body can be used directly with the 3-in-1 tool attached.
- To attach the 3-in-1 tool, align it with the suction opening on the main body and push until secure.

2. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the lithium-ion battery. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and provides up to 30 minutes of operating time.
- Connect the power supply unit to the charging port on the vacuum cleaner.
- Plug the power supply unit into a wall outlet.
- The charging indicator lights will show the charging status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the power supply.

3. Wall Mount Installation
The included wall mount allows for convenient storage and charging.
- Choose a suitable location near a power outlet.
- Secure the wall mount to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors (not included).
- Ensure the mount is firmly attached before hanging the vacuum cleaner.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button once to turn the vacuum cleaner on. Press it again to turn it off. The vacuum operates continuously without needing to hold the button.
2. Using the Floor Brush
The floor brush is designed for efficient cleaning of various surfaces, including hard floors and carpets. It features a switchable high-speed electric brush with functional bristles.
- The 3 LED lights on the floor brush illuminate dark areas, making hidden dirt visible.
- The 180° swivel joint allows for easy maneuverability around furniture and obstacles.
- For optimal performance on carpets, ensure the electric brush is engaged.

3. Using the 3-in-1 Tool
The versatile 3-in-1 tool combines an upholstery brush, furniture brush, and crevice tool for specialized cleaning tasks.
- Upholstery Brush: Ideal for cleaning fabric surfaces like sofas, chairs, and car interiors.
- Furniture Brush: Suitable for dusting delicate surfaces and furniture.
- Crevice Tool: Perfect for reaching tight spaces, corners, and edges.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.
1. Emptying the Dust Bin
Empty the dust bin regularly, especially when the MAX fill line is reached, to maintain suction power.
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is switched off.
- Locate the dust bin release button/latch.
- Press the button/latch to detach the dust bin from the main body.
- Hold the dust bin over a waste receptacle and open the bottom flap to release the contents.
- Close the flap and reattach the dust bin to the vacuum cleaner until it clicks securely.

2. Cleaning the Filter
The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly to prevent clogging and maintain suction efficiency. It can be washed with cold water.
- Remove the dust bin as described above.
- Carefully remove the filter assembly from the dust bin.
- Tap the filter gently to remove loose dust.
- Rinse the filter under cold running water until the water runs clear.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it. Do not use heat to dry.
- Reassemble the filter and dust bin, then reattach to the vacuum cleaner.
3. Cleaning the Brush Roll
Hair and debris can become entangled in the brush roll, reducing its effectiveness. The brush roll is removable for easy cleaning.
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is switched off.
- Turn the floor brush upside down.
- Locate the brush roll release mechanism (usually a latch or screw).
- Remove the brush roll.
- Use scissors or a brush to remove any tangled hair or debris.
- Reinsert the brush roll and secure it.
