  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the flexible clamp and the meter housing for any signs of damage, cracks, or wear. Do not use the meter if it appears damaged.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CL150 Clamp Meter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Meter does not power on.Dead or incorrectly installed batteries.Replace batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
Inaccurate or fluctuating readings.Conductor not centered in clamp; external magnetic fields; damaged clamp.Reposition conductor; move away from strong magnetic sources; inspect clamp for damage.
Display is dim or unreadable.Low battery; extreme temperature.Replace batteries; allow meter to acclimate to operating temperature.
Auto-off feature activates too quickly.Normal operation (15 minutes of inactivity). This is a battery-saving feature. Power on again as needed.
