4. Setup

4.1. Inserting SIM Cards and Battery

  1. Remove Back Cover: Gently slide or pry off the back cover of the phone.
  2. Insert SIM Cards: Locate the SIM card slots. Insert your SIM cards (up to two) into the designated slots with the gold contacts facing down.
  3. Insert Memory Card (Optional): If using an external memory card, insert it into the microSD card slot.
  4. Insert Battery: Align the battery contacts with the phone's terminals and gently press the battery into place.
  5. Replace Back Cover: Securely reattach the back cover.

4.2. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the phone's battery.

  1. Connect the charger to the charging port on the phone.
  2. Plug the charger into a power outlet.
  3. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.
  4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button (red button) until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power-off options appear, then select "Power Off" or continue holding until the device shuts down.

5.2. Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad and press the Call button (green button).
  • Receiving a Call: When a call comes in, press the Call button (green button) to answer.
  • Ending a Call: Press the Power/End Call button (red button) to end an active call.

5.3. Sending and Receiving SMS

  • Sending SMS: Navigate to "Messages" from the main menu, select "Write Message," enter your text, and then select the recipient(s) before sending.
  • Receiving SMS: New messages will typically display a notification on the screen. Access them via the "Messages" menu.

5.4. Camera Function

The Kechaoda K28 features a 0.3MP primary camera.

  1. From the main menu, select "Camera."
  2. Frame your shot using the display.
  3. Press the center navigation button or a designated camera button to capture the image.

5.5. FM Radio

The phone supports FM radio functionality.

  1. Connect a wired headset (often acts as an antenna) to the 3.5mm audio jack.
  2. Navigate to "FM Radio" from the main menu.
  3. Use the navigation buttons to scan for stations or manually tune.

5.6. Bluetooth Connectivity

  2. Turn Bluetooth "On."
