4. Setup
4.1 Battery Charging
Before first use, fully charge the battery. The initial charge time is approximately 3 hours. For subsequent uses, charge the battery for about one hour. Ensure the charger is connected to a suitable power outlet and the battery is correctly inserted into the charger.

4.2 Blade Installation and Adjustment
Always disconnect the battery before installing or changing the saw blade.
- Press the spindle lock button to secure the blade.
- Use the provided hex key to loosen the blade retaining screw.
- Remove the outer flange and the old blade.
- Install the new 125mm blade, ensuring the rotation direction arrow on the blade matches the arrow on the saw guard.
- Replace the outer flange and tighten the blade retaining screw firmly with the hex key.
- Release the spindle lock.
4.3 Depth and Angle Adjustment
The saw allows for adjustments to cutting depth and bevel angle for versatile applications.
- Depth Adjustment: Loosen the depth adjustment lever, set the desired cutting depth, and then firmly tighten the lever. Ensure the blade extends only slightly below the workpiece.
- Angle Adjustment: Loosen the bevel adjustment lever, tilt the saw base to the desired angle (up to 45 degrees), and then firmly tighten the lever.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 General Operation
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted into the saw.
- Set the desired cutting depth and angle as described in Section 4.3.
- Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during cutting.
- Hold the saw firmly with both hands.
- Engage the safety switch, then press the trigger to start the saw. Allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
- Guide the saw smoothly through the workpiece, maintaining a consistent feed rate. Do not force the saw.
- Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.
5.2 Battery Life and Usage
The included 2.0 Ah battery provides approximately 40 minutes of continuous operation, allowing for up to 80 cuts in 40x60mm roofing material. Actual battery life may vary based on material, cutting depth, and usage intensity. The Yato 18V system allows for battery interchangeability with other compatible Yato 18V tools.
