Mounting Options
The touchpad can be mounted in two ways:
- Surface Mount: Use the provided mounting screws and drywall anchors to attach the mounting bracket directly to a wall surface. The touchpad then snaps into the bracket, and the wall plate covers it.
- Standard Switch Plate Array: The touchpad can be installed into a standard switch plate array that uses a rectangular opening, replacing a traditional switch.
Pairing with a 2-in-1 LED Dimmer
The wireless touchpad must be paired with a compatible Armacost Lighting 2-in-1 LED Dimmer (Model 511120) to function. Multiple touchpad/receiver sets can control different lighting zones without interference. This touchpad can also be paired to control and synchronize multiple dimmer receivers in the same area.
To pair the touchpad with your dimmer:
- Ensure the 2-in-1 LED Dimmer (Model 511120) is powered on and connected to your LED lighting.
- On the 2-in-1 LED Dimmer, locate the pairing button (refer to the dimmer's manual for exact location). Press and hold the pairing button for approximately 3 seconds until the connected LED lights flash or the dimmer's indicator light blinks.
- Within 10 seconds of activating the dimmer's pairing mode, press and hold the "On" (power) button on the wireless touchpad for approximately 3 seconds.
- The connected LED lights should flash again, or the dimmer's indicator light should stop blinking, confirming successful pairing.
- Test the touchpad's functionality by pressing the On/Off and dimming buttons.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Touchpad is unresponsive. | Low or dead battery. | Replace the 12-volt alkaline battery (27A). |
| Lights do not respond after pairing attempt. | Incorrect pairing procedure or incompatible dimmer. | Ensure you are pairing with Armacost Lighting 2-in-1 dimmer model 511120. Repeat the pairing steps carefully. Ensure the dimmer is powered on. |
| Reduced signal range. | Low battery or excessive interference. | Replace the battery. While the touchpad works through walls, extreme obstructions or other strong RF signals might reduce range. |
| Multiple dimmers not synchronizing correctly. | Pairing issue with multiple receivers. | Ensure each dimmer is correctly paired. If controlling multiple dimmers with one touchpad, ensure they are all in pairing mode simultaneously before pressing the touchpad's power button. |
