3. Setup

3.1 Battery and MicroSD Card Installation

  4. Close the rear cover securely.

3.2 Mounting the Camera

The RunCam 2 features a compact design with a small frontal area, making it suitable for various mounting options without significantly impacting aerodynamics.

  • Use the provided mounting frame to attach the camera to your RC model. The frame is designed for secure attachment and minimal drag.
  • Utilize the 1/4" tripod adapter for mounting on standard tripods or other compatible accessories for ground-based recording.
  • The camera is lightweight (approximately 50g), allowing it to be mounted on sub-250g quads without severely affecting flight performance.

3.3 Connecting to the RunCam App (Wi-Fi)

The RunCam 2 features built-in Wi-Fi for seamless connection to the RunCam mobile application, available for both iOS and Android devices. This allows for live preview, video download, and settings adjustment.

  1. Download and install the RunCam App on your smartphone.
  2. Power on the RunCam 2 camera by pressing the power button.
  3. Press the Wi-Fi button on the camera to activate its Wi-Fi hotspot. The Wi-Fi indicator light will start flashing.

4. Operating the Camera

4.1 Power On/Off and Recording

  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off.
