4. Setup

4.1 Placement

For optimal sound performance, place the subwoofer on the floor or a sturdy surface. Position the satellite speakers to the left and right of your listening area, ensuring they are equidistant from you for a balanced stereo image. The satellite speakers have 15-foot cables, allowing for flexible placement.

4.2 Connecting Satellite Speakers

Connect the wired satellite speakers to the corresponding output terminals on the rear of the subwoofer. Ensure a secure connection for proper audio transmission.

4.3 Connecting to Audio Sources

The AA2171 system offers multiple ways to connect to your audio devices:

  • RCA Connection (for TV, DVD, Game Consoles): Use the included RCA to RCA cable to connect the audio output of your device to the RCA input jacks on the subwoofer.
  • Optical Connection (for TV, Game Consoles): If your TV or device has an optical audio output, use the included Digital/Optical Cable to connect it to the optical input on the subwoofer. This provides a high-quality digital audio signal.
  • 3.5mm AUX Connection (for Computers, MP3 Players, Phones): Use the included 3.5mm to RCA cable. Connect the 3.5mm end to your device's headphone jack and the RCA ends to the RCA input jacks on the subwoofer.
  • Bluetooth Connection: Refer to Section 5.4 for detailed Bluetooth pairing instructions.
  • USB Drive / SD Card: Insert a USB drive or SD card containing audio files into the respective slots on the subwoofer. The system will automatically detect and play compatible files.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

To power on the system, press the power button on the remote control or the ST-BY/M button on the subwoofer's front panel. Press again to put the system into standby mode.

5.2 Input Selection

Press the "Source" button on the remote or the subwoofer's front panel to cycle through the available input modes: Bluetooth (BT), AUX, Optical (OPT), USB, and SD. The illuminated display will indicate the selected input.

5.3 Volume Control

Adjust the master volume using the large rotary knob on the subwoofer's front panel or the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control. The volume level will be displayed on the illuminated screen.

5.4 Bass and Treble Adjustment

Use the "BASS+/-" and "TRE+/-" buttons on the remote control to adjust the bass and treble levels to your preference. These adjustments allow for personalized sound tuning.

5.5 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Select "BT" mode using the Source button. The display will show "BT" and begin flashing, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), go to the Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
  3. Select "AA2171" from the list. Once connected, the "BT" indicator on the speaker's display will stop flashing and remain solid.
  4. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker system.

5.6 USB/SD Playback

Insert a USB flash drive or SD card into the corresponding slot on the subwoofer. The system will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playing compatible audio files. Use the play/pause and skip buttons on the remote or subwoofer to control playback.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the speakers and subwoofer. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the subwoofer to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
  • Power Cord: Regularly inspect the power cord for any damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support.
  • Storage: If storing the system for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
