1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

  • Keep fingers and loose clothing away from moving parts, especially the needle and loopers, during operation.

3. Setup and Assembly

The Yamata FY33 Industrial Overlock Machine requires assembly of the table, motor, and machine head. Assembly is the responsibility of the buyer. Please follow these general steps:

3.1 Unpacking and Contents Check

Carefully unpack all components and verify that all items are present. The package includes:

3.2 Table and Stand Assembly

Assemble the machine table and legs according to the provided diagrams. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened for stability.

3.3 Motor Installation

Install the Yamata Servo Motor onto the table frame. The servo motor offers easy installation, energy savings up to 70%, immediate response, greater precision, low noise, and low vibration. It uses the same fixing points as conventional motors and requires zero belt maintenance.

3.4 Machine Head Placement

Carefully place the overlock machine head into the designated opening on the table. Secure it using the provided fasteners.

3.5 Initial Oiling

Before first use, fill the oil reservoir to the indicated level. The machine features an oil level and flow indicator. Use only recommended sewing machine oil.

3.6 Needle and Threading

Install the correct needle type (DCX27). Refer to the machine head for threading diagrams. This machine uses 1 needle and 3 threads.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Connect the power cord to a 220V outlet. Use the power switch, typically located on the control box or under the table, to turn the machine on or off.

4.2 Adjusting Stitch Length

The maximum stitch length is 0-5 mm. Adjust the stitch length dial, usually located on the side of the machine head, to achieve the desired stitch density for your fabric and application.

4.3 Adjusting Presser Foot Height

The presser foot height can be adjusted up to 13 mm. This allows for sewing various fabric thicknesses. Adjust the presser foot lift lever as needed.

4.4 Basic Sewing

Place your fabric under the presser foot. Lower the presser foot. Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. Guide the fabric smoothly through the machine. The machine is suitable for a wide range of materials and garments.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your overlock machine.

5.1 Cleaning

Turn off and unplug the machine. Use a soft brush to remove lint and dust from the needle plate, feed dogs, and looper area. Periodically clean the entire machine surface.

5.2 Oiling

Regularly check the oil level indicator. Add recommended sewing machine oil as needed. Refer to your machine's specific oiling points, usually marked with red dots or indicated in a diagram on the machine head.

5.3 Needle Replacement

Replace the needle (DCX27) regularly, especially if it becomes bent, dull, or if you experience skipped stitches. Always turn off the machine before changing the needle.

5.4 Belt Maintenance

The Yamata Servo Motor is designed for zero maintenance on belts, reducing the need for frequent adjustments or replacements compared to conventional motors.
