1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your TDRFORCE 5 Gallon Automatic Bottled Water Dispenser Pump System. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use, and retain it for future reference.

The TDRFORCE bottled water dispenser pump is designed for use with 5-gallon water jugs, providing a reliable fresh water supply for appliances such as refrigerators, ice makers, espresso machines, and countertop faucets (faucet not included).

2. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation, please observe the following precautions:

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power source matches the pump's requirements. Do not operate with damaged cords or plugs. Keep electrical connections dry.
  • Water Quality: Use only potable water with this system.
  • Installation: Install the pump as close as possible to the appliance for optimal pumping performance. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
  • Dry Pumping Protection: The pump features automatic shut-off when the water jug is empty and restarts when refilled. However, avoid prolonged dry operation.
  • Restarting After Disuse: If the pump has been unused for a long period, manually fill water into the pump to restart it.
  • Product Condition: If you receive a new pump with residual water, this is normal due to factory testing. It does not indicate prior use.

5. Setup

Follow these steps for proper installation:

  1. Prepare the Water Jug: Remove the cap from your 5-gallon water jug. Insert the hard pipe of the inlet hose into the jug, ensuring the cap seals securely around the jug's opening. The float switch should be at the bottom of the jug.
  2. Connect Inlet Hose to Pump: Connect the flexible part of the inlet hose to the "IN" port on the pump unit using the quick connect fitting.
  3. Connect Outlet Hose to Appliance: Connect one end of the 20-foot outlet hose to the "OUT" port on the pump unit. Route the other end of the outlet hose to your appliance (e.g., refrigerator, ice maker, coffee machine). Ensure the connection at the appliance is secure and leak-free.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the pump unit and then into a standard electrical outlet.

6. Operation

Once installed, operating the pump is straightforward:

  1. Power On: Flip the power switch on the pump unit to the "ON" position. The pump will begin to draw water from the jug and supply it to your connected appliance.
  2. Speed Control: Use the speed control knob on the pump unit to adjust the water flow rate. Turning the knob can also help in reducing operational noise.
  3. Automatic Shut-off: The integrated float switch will automatically turn off the pump when the water level in the 5-gallon jug is low, preventing dry pumping.
  4. Automatic Restart: When a new, full 5-gallon water jug is connected, the pump will automatically restart and resume operation.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures longevity and optimal performance:

  • Cleaning: Periodically inspect hoses and connections for any buildup or blockages. Clean the exterior of the pump unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water.
  • Hose Inspection: Check hoses for kinks, cracks, or wear. Replace if necessary.
  • Float Switch: Ensure the float switch moves freely within the water jug and is not obstructed.
  • Restarting After Extended Disuse: If the pump has been idle for a long time, manually prime it by filling water into the pump before turning it on.
