Wiring Connections

Initial Power-On and Basic Settings
After installation, reconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal. Turn on the vehicle's ignition. Press the SOURCE button to power on the unit. The display will illuminate. You may need to set the clock and initial audio preferences.

- Audio Setup: Access the audio menu to adjust bass, treble, balance, and fader settings.

Bluetooth Pairing
To use Bluetooth features, you must first pair your mobile device with the UTE-73BT.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- On the UTE-73BT, press the PHONE button or navigate to the Bluetooth menu.
- Select 'Pairing' or 'Add Device'. The unit will enter pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'UTE-73BT'.
- Confirm the pairing code if prompted on both devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator on the receiver will illuminate steadily.
For optimal call quality, ensure the external microphone is properly positioned, typically near the driver's head.

Operating Instructions
Basic Controls
- Power On/Off: Press the SOURCE button briefly to turn on. Press and hold to turn off.
- Volume Control: Rotate the large central knob clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Source Selection: Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through available audio sources (FM, AM, Bluetooth Audio, USB, Auxiliary).
- Mute: Press the volume knob briefly to mute/unmute audio.
Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Select FM or AM using the SOURCE button.
- Seek Tuning: Press the forward/backward arrow buttons to automatically seek the next strong station.
- Manual Tuning: Press and hold the forward/backward arrow buttons to enter manual tuning mode, then press briefly to change frequency step-by-step.
- Preset Stations: Store and recall stations using the numbered preset buttons (1-6). Press and hold a preset button to store the current station; press briefly to recall.
- RBDS (Radio Broadcast Data System): The unit displays station information (e.g., station name, song title) when available.
Bluetooth Audio and Hands-Free Calling
- Bluetooth Audio Streaming: Once paired, select 'Bluetooth Audio' as the source. Playback controls (play/pause, track skip) can be operated from the receiver or your mobile device.
- Hands-Free Calling:
- Answer Call: Press the green phone button.
- End Call: Press the red phone button.
- Make Call: Use your phone's voice assistant (if supported and activated) or dial directly from your phone.
USB Playback
Connect a USB storage device containing FLAC, MP3, or WMA audio files to the USB port. The unit will automatically switch to USB source and begin playback.
- Track Navigation: Use the forward/backward arrow buttons to skip tracks.
- Folder Navigation: Use the up/down arrow buttons (if available) or menu options to browse folders.
- iPod/iPhone Compatibility: Connect your Apple device via USB for direct digital audio playback and charging.
- Android AOA 2.0: Connect compatible Android devices via USB for audio playback and control.
Auxiliary Input
Connect an external audio player to the 3.5mm auxiliary input jack using a stereo audio cable. Select 'Auxiliary' as the source to listen to audio from the connected device.
Pandora Music
Connect your iPhone or Android phone running the Pandora app via Bluetooth or USB. Select 'Pandora' as the source to control Pandora directly from the receiver.
