This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your ARREGUI Premier 16501-S2 Electronic Combination Safe. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the safe to ensure proper function and security.

2. Safety Information
- Do not store emergency keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure, separate location.
- Ensure the safe is installed on a stable surface or securely anchored to prevent tipping or unauthorized removal.
- Keep the safe away from excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Do not attempt to force the safe open if the code is forgotten or batteries are depleted. Use the emergency key.
- This safe is not water-resistant. Protect it from water exposure.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. The package should include:
- ARREGUI Premier 16501-S2 Safe
- Instruction Manual
- 2 Emergency Keys
- Mounting Material (screws)
3.2 Battery Installation
The safe requires 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included) for the electronic lock to function. The battery compartment is typically located on the inside of the safe door.
- Open the safe using one of the emergency keys (refer to section 3.3 for initial opening).
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the inside of the door.
- Remove the cover and insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
3.3 Initial Opening with Emergency Key
Before setting your personal code, you will need to open the safe using the emergency key.
- Locate the emergency keyhole, usually concealed behind a small cover or the rotary knob on the keypad.
- Insert one of the provided emergency keys into the keyhole.
- Turn the key clockwise (or counter-clockwise, depending on the lock) while simultaneously turning the rotary knob to open the safe door.
- Once open, remove the key and store it in a safe place outside the safe.

3.4 Mounting the Safe
While installation is not strictly required, anchoring the safe is highly recommended to prevent theft. The ARREGUI Premier 16501-S2 model features 4 pre-drilled holes on the base and 4 on the rear wall, each 9 mm in diameter, for secure mounting.
- Choose a suitable location for the safe, such as inside a cabinet, on a shelf, or directly to a wall or floor.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the safe's base or rear.
- Drill pilot holes into the chosen surface using an appropriate drill bit.
- Position the safe and secure it using the provided mounting material (screws). Ensure all screws are tightened firmly.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Setting Your Personal Code
With the safe door open, you can set your personal 3 to 8 digit opening code.
- Locate the red or green reset button on the inside of the safe door, near the hinge.
- Press the reset button. You should hear a beep, and an indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3 to 8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' or 'B' button (or similar confirmation button, check keypad markings) to confirm. You should hear a confirmation beep.
- Test the new code with the door open before closing it.
4.2 Opening the Safe with Your Code
- Enter your 3 to 8 digit personal code on the keypad.
- Press the '#' or 'B' button (or similar confirmation button).
- If the code is correct, you will hear a beep, and the green indicator light will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, turn the rotary knob clockwise (or counter-clockwise) to open the safe door.
4.3 Temporary Lock-Out
If an incorrect code is entered 3 consecutive times, the safe's electronic lock will temporarily disable for a short period (e.g., 20-30 seconds) as a security measure. During this time, the keypad will not respond. Wait for the lock-out period to expire before attempting to enter the code again.
4.4 LED Indicators
- Green LED: Indicates correct code entry and that the safe can be opened.
- Red LED: Indicates incorrect code entry or low battery power. If the red LED flashes continuously during operation, it signifies that the batteries need to be replaced soon.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
When the red LED light indicates low battery power, replace all 4 AA alkaline batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Refer to section 3.2 for battery installation instructions. Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.
5.2 Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
6. Troubleshooting
