2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Read all instructions before using the appliance.
• Do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids.
• Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning.
• Avoid contact with moving parts. The blades are very sharp; handle with extreme care during assembly, disassembly, and cleaning.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Ensure the lid is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.
• Do not process hot liquids or very hard ingredients like coffee beans or ice cubes, as this may damage the blades or motor.

4. Setup

Before first use, wash all parts that will come into contact with food (glass container, blade assembly, lid) according to the cleaning instructions. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly.

1. Place the glass container on a stable, flat surface.
2. Carefully place the blade assembly onto the central pin inside the glass container. Ensure it sits securely.
3. Add your ingredients to the glass container. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line indicated on the container.
4. Place the lid onto the glass container, ensuring it aligns correctly with the container's rim.
5. Position the motor unit onto the lid. It should fit snugly and lock into place, activating the safety interlock.
6. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The WMF Kult X Edition Food Chopper features two speed settings for versatile chopping.

1. Ensure the appliance is correctly assembled and plugged in.
2. Speed I (Gentle): Press and hold the button marked with a single line (I) for a slower, more controlled chop, ideal for softer ingredients or coarser results.
3. Speed II (Powerful): Press and hold the button marked with a double line (II) for a faster, more powerful chop, suitable for harder ingredients or finer results.
4. Pulse operation: For best results and to prevent over-processing, use short pulses by pressing and releasing the desired speed button repeatedly.
5. Once chopping is complete, release the button and unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
6. Carefully remove the motor unit, then the lid, and finally the blade assembly before emptying the chopped ingredients.

Tips for Best Results:

• Cut larger ingredients into smaller, uniform pieces (approx. 1-2 cm) before placing them in the container.
• Do not overload the container. Process in smaller batches if necessary.
• For ingredients like herbs or garlic, add a small amount of liquid (water or oil) to help them circulate and chop evenly.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your appliance. Always unplug the chopper before cleaning.

• Motor Unit: Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or any other liquid.
• Glass Container, Lid, and Blade Assembly: These parts are recommended for hand wash only. Wash them in warm, soapy water immediately after use to prevent food residue from drying. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
• Caution: The blades are extremely sharp. Handle the blade assembly with extreme care during cleaning to avoid injury.
• Store the appliance in a dry place, out of reach of children.

7. Troubleshooting

• Appliance does not turn on:
  • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
