3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for accurate readings and safe operation. Ensure the gauge is securely connected to the pressure source.

  1. Inspect the Gauge: Before installation, visually inspect the gauge for any signs of damage.
  2. Prepare Connection Point: Ensure the pressure connection point is clean and free of debris.
  3. Connect the Gauge: The DPG Series features a 1/4" NPT 304SS Stainless Steel connection. Carefully thread the gauge into the pressure port. Use appropriate sealing tape or compound if necessary, ensuring it does not obstruct the pressure port.
  4. Tighten Securely: Hand-tighten the gauge first, then use a wrench to tighten it securely. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the threads or the gauge.
  5. Verify Orientation: Ensure the gauge display is oriented for easy viewing.

4. Operation

The DPG Series gauge features intuitive controls for power management and unit selection.

4.1 Power Button

  • Press: Turns the gauge ON for 1 minute. The backlight will stay on for 10 seconds. After 1 minute, the gauge turns OFF.
  • Displays Battery Reading: The battery level is displayed during power ON.
  • Tap: Turns the backlight back on for 10 seconds.
  • Automatic Backlight: The backlight automatically activates when pressure changes by +10% of the scale (when the gauge is ON).

4.2 Menu Button

  • Press: Changes pressure units. Available units include psi, mH2O, mbar, kPa (≤ 100 psi), psi, bar, Kg/cm², and MPa (2 160 psi).
