3. Setup

Attaching the Side Handle:

The side handle can be attached to either side of the gear housing or on top, depending on user preference and application. Thread the handle clockwise into the desired mounting hole until secure.

Installing/Changing Grinding Wheels:

1. Ensure the tool is unplugged from the power source.
2. Press and hold the spindle lock button located on the gear housing.
3. Using the provided wrench, loosen and remove the outer flange nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
4. Remove the old grinding wheel (if applicable).
5. Place the new grinding wheel onto the inner flange, ensuring it is centered.
6. Re-attach the outer flange nut and tighten it securely with the wrench while holding the spindle lock button. Do not overtighten.
7. Release the spindle lock button.

4. Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off:

To turn the grinder ON, slide the power switch forward to the 'I' position. To turn the grinder OFF, slide the switch backward to the 'O' position. This model features a no-volt switch to prevent accidental restarts after a power interruption.

Using the Tool-Free Guard:

The guard can be adjusted or removed without tools. To adjust, loosen the guard clamp, rotate the guard to the desired position, and then tighten the clamp. To remove, fully loosen the clamp and slide the guard off.

Note: Always ensure the guard is properly positioned to protect against sparks and debris during operation.

General Cleaning:

Regularly clean the ventilation openings of the tool to prevent overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.

• Tool does not start: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the power switch is fully in the 'ON' position. Verify there hasn't been a power interruption that triggered the no-volt switch.
• Excessive vibration: Check if the grinding wheel is properly installed and securely tightened. Inspect the wheel for damage or imbalance. Replace damaged wheels immediately.
• Overheating: Ensure the ventilation slots are clear of debris. Avoid excessive pressure during operation, allowing the tool to work at its intended speed.
