3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the included USB cable to the 3.5mm jack on the recorder and the other end to a computer's USB port or a USB wall adapter (not included). The indicator light will show charging status.
- During charging, the red indicator light will blink.
- Once fully charged, the blue indicator light will illuminate steadily.
- A full charge takes approximately 1 hour and provides about 16 hours of recording or playback time.

3.2 Understanding the Indicator Light
The device features a discreet indicator light located between the main body and the clip. To view it, gently rotate the clip approximately 45 degrees from the body. This light provides crucial feedback on the device's status (recording, charging, etc.).
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Recording
- To start recording, press and hold the top button (ON/OFF switch) of the pen.
- The red indicator light will illuminate, then quickly blink for about 5 seconds, and finally turn off. This indicates that recording has started. You can release the button once the light starts blinking.
- To stop recording and save the file, press and hold the top button again.
- The red indicator light will blink rapidly several times and then turn off. This confirms that the recording has stopped and the file is saved.
- Recordings are saved as WAV files with a timestamp filename.
Note: The indicator light behavior differs slightly between starting and stopping recording. Pay attention to the blinking pattern to confirm the device's status.
4.2 Playback
Playback can be done using the included earphones with remote control or by connecting the device to a computer.
Using Earphones:
- Ensure the device is off.
- Firmly insert the earphones' 3.5mm jack into the device's port until it clicks.
- The remote control on the earphones allows you to play, pause, skip tracks, fast forward, rewind, and delete files. Refer to the remote's markings for specific functions.
- The device can play both recorded WAV files and MP3 music files.
Using a Computer:
Connect the device to a computer as described in section 4.3. The recorded WAV files can be played directly from the device's storage using your computer's media player.
4.3 Connecting to a Computer
- Ensure the device is off.
- Connect the USB cable's standard USB end to your computer and the 3.5mm end firmly into the recorder's port.
- Wait approximately 5 seconds. Your computer should recognize the device as a removable disk.
- The red indicator light will illuminate, then blink, and finally the blue light will stay on, indicating a successful connection.
- You can now access the device's internal storage to transfer, copy, or delete recorded files (WAV format) or MP3 files.
- Important: While connected to a computer, the ON/OFF switch on the pen is inactive. To disconnect, safely eject the device from your computer first, then remove the USB cable. Removing the cable abruptly while data is being accessed may corrupt files.
5. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, or moisture.
- Use only the provided USB cable for charging and data transfer.
- When not in use for extended periods, charge the device at least once every three months to maintain battery health.
- Replace ink refills as needed for the pen function.
