4. Installation Guide
The BT-S3 intercom system can be installed on most full-face and half-face helmets using either the clamp unit or the velcro pad.
4.1 Mounting the Intercom Unit
- Choose Mounting Method: Decide between the clamp unit (more secure, requires helmet edge) or the velcro pad (easier, suitable for helmets without a suitable edge).
- Attach Clamp Unit (if chosen): Loosen the screws on the clamp unit. Slide the clamp onto the left side of your helmet shell, ensuring it is firmly in place. Tighten the screws with the provided wrench.
- Attach Velcro Pad (if chosen): Clean the desired mounting area on the left side of your helmet. Peel the adhesive backing from the velcro pad and firmly press it onto the helmet.
- Secure Intercom Unit: Slide the BT-S3 intercom unit onto the mounted clamp or press it onto the velcro pad until it clicks securely into place.
4.2 Installing Speakers and Microphone
- Speaker Placement: Attach the speakers inside the helmet, aligning them with your ears. Most helmets have designated pockets for speakers. Use the adhesive velcro pads on the back of the speakers to secure them.
- Microphone Placement: For full-face helmets, attach the boom microphone to the inside of the chin bar, positioning it close to your mouth. For open-face helmets, attach the microphone to the inside of the cheek pad.
- Cable Management: Route all cables neatly under the helmet's padding to avoid interference and ensure comfort.
- Connect Cables: Plug the speaker and microphone cable into the appropriate jack on the BT-S3 intercom unit. Ensure the connection is firm.

- Charging: Use the provided USB cable for charging. Do not overcharge the battery.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BT-S3 intercom, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the unit to a power source using the USB cable.
- Cannot Pair Bluetooth: Ensure the unit is in pairing mode (red and blue flashing LED). Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone/GPS and it is discoverable. Try restarting both devices.
- Intercom Not Connecting: Ensure both intercom units are in pairing mode and within range. Follow the intercom pairing steps carefully.
- No Sound/Low Volume: Check volume levels on both the intercom unit and your connected device. Ensure speakers are correctly plugged in and positioned.
