3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to correctly set up your Hathaway Rebounder Basketball Return System.

3.1 Attaching the Net to Your Basketball Hoop

1. Ensure your basketball hoop has a backboard between 48 and 60 inches wide. The system is designed for compatibility within this range.
2. Unfold the polyester net completely.
3. Position the top edge of the net around the base of your basketball hoop's backboard. The system uses a webbing harness for attachment.
4. Securely fasten the net to the backboard using the integrated attachment system. No tools are required for this step. Ensure the net is centered and taut.

3.2 Anchoring the Net

1. Locate the four 1.5-gallon PVC water bags.
2. Fill each water bag with water. Ensure they are securely sealed to prevent leakage.
3. Attach one filled water bag to each of the four corners at the base of the net. These bags provide stability and keep the net fixed during use.
4. Adjust the position of the anchor bags to ensure the net is spread out evenly and securely anchored to the ground.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the Rebounder Basketball Return System is properly set up, you can begin your shooting practice.

1. Position yourself in front of the basketball hoop as you normally would for shooting.
2. Shoot the basketball towards the hoop.

5. Maintenance and Storage

5.2 Water Bag Anchors

• Before storing, empty the water from the PVC anchor bags.
• Ensure the bags are dry to prevent mold or mildew growth.
• Inspect bags for any punctures or leaks. Replace if necessary.

5.3 Storage

• When not in use for extended periods, disassemble the system and store it in the provided rip-resistant nylon storage bag.
• Store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve material integrity.
