  • Impact: A helmet that has sustained an impact, even if it appears undamaged, should be replaced immediately. Its protective capacity may be compromised.

Before your first ride, ensure your helmet is properly set up and fits correctly.

  1. Initial Inspection: Carefully inspect the helmet for any signs of damage from shipping. Do not use if damaged.
  2. Sizing: Measure your head circumference and compare it to the sizing chart below to ensure you have the correct size. A properly fitting helmet should be snug around your head and cheeks without causing pressure points.
  3. Padding: The helmet comes with removable and washable padding. Ensure all padding is correctly installed and securely seated within the helmet shell.
  4. Visor Check: Verify that both the clear outer visor and the internal sun visor operate smoothly and securely.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance extends the life of your helmet and ensures its continued protective function.

  • Cleaning the Shell: Use a soft cloth, mild soap, and lukewarm water to clean the exterior. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the shell material and finish.
  • Cleaning Visors: Both the clear and sun visors should be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry. Do not use abrasive materials or chemical cleaners, which can scratch or damage the visor coatings.
  • Cleaning Padding: The removable interior padding can be hand-washed with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting into the helmet.
  • Storage: Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided helmet bag to protect it from scratches and dust.

Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

  • Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure all vents are closed if you desire less airflow. Check that the main visor is fully closed and sealed. An improper fit can also contribute to wind noise; verify your helmet size.
  • Visor Not Sealing Properly: Inspect the visor mechanism for any debris or damage. Ensure the visor is correctly seated in its pivots. If the issue persists, the visor may need adjustment or replacement.
  • Helmet Feels Too Loose or Too Tight: Refer to the sizing guide to confirm you have the correct helmet size. If the fit is slightly off, the removable padding might be adjusted or replaced with different thickness pads (contact support for options).
  • Visor Fogging: Ensure the ventilation system is open to allow airflow. Anti-fog treatments or inserts can also be used on the clear visor.
