3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the clock.
2. Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
3. Insert 2 new AA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Initial Time Setting

1. Press and hold the TIME SET button for 2 seconds until the hour digits begin to flash.
2. Press the HOUR/12/24 button to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator if using 12-hour mode.
3. Press the MIN/AL ON/OFF button to adjust the minutes.
4. Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.

4.1 Setting the Alarm

1. Press and hold the AL SET button for 2 seconds until the alarm hour digits begin to flash.
2. Press the HOUR/12/24 button to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press the MIN/AL ON/OFF button to adjust the alarm minutes.
4. Press the AL SET button again to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.

4.2 Turning Alarm On/Off

• To turn the alarm ON, briefly press the MIN/AL ON/OFF button. An alarm icon will appear on the display.
• To turn the alarm OFF, briefly press the MIN/AL ON/OFF button again. The alarm icon will disappear.

4.3 Snooze Function

• When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button on the top of the clock. The alarm will pause for 7 minutes and then sound again.
• You can repeat the snooze function up to 3 times.
• To stop the alarm completely, press any other button on the top of the clock. The alarm will not sound again until the same time the next day.

4.4 Adjusting Brightness

• Briefly press the TIME SET button (which also has a sun icon) to cycle through the three brightness levels: Low, Medium, and High.
• The clock will automatically dim to the lowest brightness level during night mode (8:00 PM to 6:00 AM) to save battery power. Manual adjustment is not possible during auto-dim night mode.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

• When the display becomes dim or the clock stops functioning, it's time to replace the batteries.
• Follow the steps in Section 3.1 Battery Installation to replace the 2 AA batteries.
• Always use new batteries of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
